What Parents are Saying

What do past participants of Understanding Kids courses think?

I thoroughly recommend Lindsay's sessions. I strive for evidence based information which is exactly what we got. It certainly helped us to better understand our son and therefore parent accordingly. It gave my husband a big confidence boost and as a result has meant he could gently help him to settle to sleep.”

Rachel

Sheffield

A fantastic course full of practical advice and information based on evidence-based research, taught in an imaginative and accessible way. I felt very lucky to be able to meet and discuss issues with other parents with a similar outlook in a friendly atmosphere.

About Lindsay Snow

Welcome and thank you for visiting the Understanding Kids website!

More than 500 families have attended my courses and private consultations over the past 4 years since I first qualified to teach parenting.

My background is in Bilingual and International secondary education in the Netherlands and the UK. I was one of the first UK teachers trained to deliver Penn State University's highly regarded Resilience Programme for Teenagers and I hold an MSc in Communication.

I now work freelance in parenting education and consultancy, and as an Associate Trainer for the How To Thrive charity. When not working with parents and schools, I enjoy climbing in the Peak District and France with my partner Jurriaan and son Adrian.
