Welcome to the Fourth Trimester! The service is run by Rosie Knowles, Alix Riches-Barber and Lindsay Snow. We have been supporting new parents for over 10 years. Our 6-week course aims to lower parenting stress and promote more positive parenting experiences through education and community.
Since our humble beginnings in Rosie's front room, 4T has constantly adapted to better serve its families. We currently offer a live online discussion group via Zoom at the same time as our in-person session at the Scotia Works (Leadmill Road, central Sheffield). We hope this will benefit not only our members outside of Sheffield, but also our local members and their partners who are unable to visit the Scotia Works on Monday mornings.
Each 6-week cohort has it's own WhatsApp group for daily reminders of the course content and to share questions, tips, arrange meet ups or keep each other company during overnight feeds etc.
10:30am-12:30pm every Monday we have a lively, friendly social where you'll have a chance to explore the weekly themes and learn how to use a variety of slings.
To supplement our in-person sessions for you and your baby's (or babies') caregivers, full members can also watch in-depth evidence-based videos on each week's theme.

"What an awesome place to go to every week with your newborn. So nurturing and reassuring. Genuinely helpful, scientific information aimed at helping you decide how to parent, not telling you what to do. I have made friends for life. Friends are so important during parental leave."

"I loved the overriding messages of don't worry so much and trust your instincts, and that they were backed up by the science. And that there was good factual info for the situations where there is a right and wrong (or safe / unsafe) way. Very reassuring and a great boost to my confidence as a mum!"
